A case was filed recently at Udupi town police station against speakers, including journalist Dinesh Ameen Mattu, for violating the election code of conduct at a programme organised by Sahabalve, a non-political social organisation.
Based on the complaint of Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok
Sabha Constituency flying squad officer K V Nagaraj, the police had registered cases against speakers Sahabalve President Amrtih Shenoy, Journalist Dinesh Ameen Mattu, social activist Mahendar Kumar, Dalit leader Indhudhar Honnapur and G N Nagaraj .
The speakers were accused of delivering provocative speeches at the programme organised at Royal Garden, in Kalsanka, on March 17.
