The Centre will send ‘Jan Aushadi’ medicines worth Rs 1 crore to flood-ravaged Kodagu and Kerala, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers Ananth Kumar said on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Kumar said medicines for blood pressure, heart ailments, diabetes and malaria will be sent to Kodagu and Kerala.
These generic medicines are worth Rs 1 crore (branded version will cost Rs 3 crore).
He said the Bengaluru unit of BJP has been collecting relief items from the citizens for the last three days.
