Mild showers lash Belagavi, Kalaburagi

Two women were caught in the mild showers that lashed Belagavi on Monday.

Mild showers lashed the city and its surroundings for about 10 minutes on Monday evening.

Normal weather had been prevailing during the day. In the evening, overcast conditions persisted  and there were mild showers that led to the temperatures coming down.

Rain lashed Kalaburagi district on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. The showers brought much-needed relief from sweltering heat.

The average rainfall in the district was 0.3 mm. The highest rainfall of 1.1 mm was recorded at Aland, followed by Kalaburagi and Afzalpur that recorded 0.6 mm of rainfall each and Jewargi and Chittapur that recorded just 0.1 mm each. No rainfall was recorded in Sedam and Chincholi.

Kalaburgi recorded the highest maximum temperature of 42.2° C in the state on Monday.
