MLC Go Madhusudhan, on Friday, has written a letter to Governor Vajubhai R Vala, also Chancellor of all universities in Karnataka, to stall the process initiated in the University of Mysore by Vice-Chancellor K S Rangappa to fill 150 vacancies through direct recruitment.

“Rangappa is facing charges of corruption in the recruitment made in the Karnataka State Open University during the fag end of his tenure as VC. The Bhakthavathsala Committee, which probed the irregularities in the KSOU, has recommended filing of cases against the authorities concerned. In the UoM also, there have been allegations of corruption in recruitment and Rangavitalachar Committee has probed the issue. Cases in this regard are pending before the High Court. So, to avoid further misuse of power and to check defamation of the university, the Governor should stall the proceedings,” the letter states.
