Anup Shetty, the district superintendent of police, said on Tuesday that cases had been registered against 38 people, including Lok Sabha member Karadi Sanganna with regard to the ruckus they created during Monday’s bandh.
They have been booked on charges of preventing government officials from discharging their duties and abusing the police personnel in unparliamentary language.
Protesters and the police had pushed each other around when DySP S M Sandigawad and police inspector Ravi Ukkund arrived at the spot over the exchange of words.
