Mysore airport will open on Sept 15: BSY

Yeddyurappa said this while interacting with a group of women journalists over lunch, on the eve of the Gowri-Ganesha festival.

Yeddyurappa said that he would begin gramavastavya (village stays) soon. “I will select one big village in each district and spend the evening and night there, interacting with the villagers on development needs. Cultural programmes will also be taken to villages during these stays,” he said.

He also pointed out that the turnout for his Janata Darshan had reduced considerably, following the implementation of welfare programmes like Sandhya Suraksha, Bhagyalakshmi etc. “People have been able to get the help they want in their home towns,” he pointed out.
