Mysuru, Mangaluru ULBs all set to go to polls on Aug 31

A total of 388 candidates are contesting the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) elections, in the urban local body's (ULB) 65 wards.

The polls will be held on August 31. The counting will be held on September 3, 2018.

In all, 541 nominations were filed by 484 candidates in the 65 wards. The Election Commission rejected 31 nominations during scrutiny. As many as 459 candidates qualified.

On Wednesday, the last day to withdraw nominations, 65 candidates withdrew their nominations.

Mangaluru ULB polls

A total of 250 candidates are contesting the ULB elections in Dakshina Kannada. The polls will be held on August 31.

Ullal city municipal council (CMC) has 31 wards, with 102 candidates in the fray.

Bantwal town municipal council (TMC) has 27 wards, with 71 candidates in the fray.

Puttur CMC has 31 candidates, with 77 candidates in the fray.
