The government on Saturday passed an order to implement the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission by reducing the eligibility for VRS of its employees from 33 to 30 years of service. The order will be with effect from Jan 1 ,2019. The medical allowance for group ‘C’ and ‘D’ staff has been increased from Rs 100 to Rs 200, while the festival advance has been increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.
