People want KJP-Cong government, Dhananjay

Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) campaign committee chairman and former Union minister V Dhananjay Kumar on Sunday said the people of the State were aspiring for a KJP-Congress coalition government after the ensuing Assembly elections.

Addressing presspersons after party workers’ convention here, Kumar said the “the KJP is confident of coming to power on its own strength. However, if the party fails to win majority, KJP-Congress coalition government would come to power after the polls.”

The BJP has realised what it is without former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa. Therefore, its leaders are spreading rumours that Yeddyurappa would return to the BJP. However, the KJP will not have any truck with the BJP, Kumar said.

“The BJP is a divided house because of former Union minister H N Ananth Kumar’s monopoly. It was Ananth Kumar who was responsible for Yeddyurappa quitting the BJP,” he said.

Kumar claimed that around 10 to 15 BJP legislators would join the KJP after the Holi. Even the Yellapur MLA is likely to join KJP, he observed.
