Lakshmikant, the Raichur-based lecturer who was released by suspected IS militants at Sirte in Libya on Friday, is likely to travel to India through Tunisia.
He is presently at the Indian mission in Tripoli. Since no flights are taking off to India from there at present, he may travel to Tunisia and then take a flight to India. Dr Pratibha, Lakshmikant’s wife, told Deccan Herald that her husband was safe and had called her up on Saturday night and Sunday. He was trying to travel home through Tunisia, she said.
