Rain pounds Kodagu, NK

Virajpet recorded highest rainfall of 51.77 mm in one day. Widepsread rain brought down a few houses in the taluk. The taluk administration has received 10 applications seeking compensation for property loss.  With an inflow of 557 cusec, the water level in Harangi reservoir stood at 2840.60 feet against full reservoir level of 2,859 feet.

Heavy ran pummelled Dharwad, Haveri, Belgaum and Haveri district for the fifth consecutive day.

Shimoga district received moderate rain with Hulikal (near Hosanagar) recording 26 mm rainfall. The inflow to Linganamakki reservoir decreased to 10,075 cusec while that to Bhadra reservoir came down to 4,690 cusec. Mastikatte received 25.80 mm of rain, Yadur 22 mm, Agumbe 21.8 mm and Sagar 16.2 mm.
