Rajyotsava awards on Nov 15

This year’s Rajyotsava awards ceremony will be held in Bengaluru on November 15. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will finalise 63 names from various fields for the prestigious awards and the same will be announced on November 12, according to the chief minister’s office. The award ceremony will be held at Ravindra Kalakshetra.

Usually, the awards are announced during the last week of October and presented on Rajyotsava Day - November 1. However, this year the announcement of the awards was postponed as the model code of conduct was in place for the bypolls.

The CMO also stated that the State Film Awards for the year 2017 will be presented in Bengaluru on November 24.
