Rao slams BJP, defends Rahul

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao slammed BJP leaders and alleged that the BJP is playing hate politics.

Speaking to reporters here on Friday, he said that the state BJP leaders are indulging in communal and revenge politics.

Defending All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi’s statement that people may be involved in rebellious activities if they are kept away from development activities, Rao said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has failed to introduce any development programmes. “The PM had promised jobs for unemployed youths but the number of unemployed youths is on the rise. If people are deprived of employment, it affects their emotions and they may get involved in rebellious activities,” he said.
