BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa on Friday said that the party is sure of winning 10-15 seats with the help of mining baron and former minister B Janardhan Reddy.

Speaking to reporters here, Yeddyurappa said BJP president Amit Shah had advised party leaders to seek help of anyone, including their opponents, if it is beneficial to the party.

The former chief minister said that Reddy had never sought the BJP ticket for himself to contest the Assembly elections.

Commenting on the contest in Badami Assembly segment, Yeddyurappa said the BJP candidate B Sriramulu, who belongs to the Valmiki community, will emerge victorious against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Yeddyurappa said Siddaramaiah is a shameless person and will be the last chief minister of the Congress party in Karnataka. “Siddaramaiah is a synonym of corruption. He is contesting from Badami, out of fear of losing in Chamundeshwari constituency,” he said.

“The BJP has fielded candidates in all the 224 constituencies. We will not enter into an alliance with the JD(S) for any reason. The party will win 150 seats and form the government on its own,” he said.

Stating that there is an anti-Siddaramaiah wave in the state, the BJP leader said there is no value for the Congress manifesto released on Friday. “The BJP will release its poll manifesto on April 30, which will give more importance to farmers,” he said.

The state will see a result similar to that of Uttar Pradesh Assembl.;y polls. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief ministers of various states will tour Karnataka for canvassing. The BJP will win three to four seats in Hassan district, he said.
