Gurmithkal MLA and chairman of Border Area Development Authority Baburao Chinchansur said he has submitted a report on the rehabilitation of Kannadigas in Goa to the state government on Tuesday.
He said he has studied the condition of Kannadigas in Goa following an order by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Chinchansur said the condition of Kannadigas is pathetic in Goa. In 2004, the locals had demolished the houses of 380 Kannadigas. In 2016, the number of demolished houses was 300 and this year, they have razed 53 houses so far, he added.
He said he has urged the state government to immediately take steps for the rehabilitation of the Kannadigas in Goa.
