Hassan: 2 lakh cash seized from BJP supporters

Unaccounted cash of Rs 2 lakh has been seized from BJP supporters in Hassan on Wednesday.

Hassan Badavane Police have taken district Congress vice president Narayanagowda, who is a supporter of BJP candidate A Manju and Hemanth in this connection and have seized a car they were using.

According to sources, Narayanagowda and Hemanth had Rs 2 lakh in the form of Rs 500 denomination notes in their possession at a private hotel on the outskirts of the city.

Acting on a tip-off, the Flying Squad Team and K R Puram police raided the spot and took the duo into custody, along with cash, BJP pamphlets, and pictures of gods from them.
