Security for Indo-Pak football match

Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the football match between India and Pakistan to be played at Bangalore Football Stadium, Xavier Layout, Ashok Nagar, on Sunday.

Additional forces have been deployed in and around the stadium to prevent any untoward incident. 

Policemen have been directed to deal sternly with those trying to foment trouble. DCP (Central) Sandeep Patil visited the stadium and supervised the security arrangements.

As many as 16 closed circuit television cameras (CCTV) have been installed to monitor any suspicious elements.

There will be Door Frame Metal Detector at eight different locations. Police will frisk the spectators before letting them inside the stadium. Frisking will be done at the gate, building entry point and stand entry, he added.

Police have banned carrying  of bottles and bags. The gate will be opened two hours prior to the scheduled start of the match, at 1 pm.
