While people taking selfies soon after casting their votes was common on Saturday, this voter has gone a step further. Though using mobile phones inside the polling booth is banned, the voter got away by taking a picture of himself casting the vote.
The picture instantly became viral. A close look at the EVM reveals that the picture was taken in one of the polling stations in Athani, where, sitting MLA Laxman Savadi is seeking re-election.
Girish Kedarappa Butali and Mahesh Iranagouda Kumathalli are the JD(S) and Congress candidates, respectively.
