Drawing ZP Chairman Shubha Krishnamurthy's attention towards non-availability of funds, Opposition Leader Kalagodu Ratnakar said none of the ZP members was able to take up developmental work in their areas.
He also said 260 gram panchayats are facing financial crunch.
Members alleged the government is bankrupt and not in a position to fund housing schemes meant for the poor.
They also urged Krishnamurthy to take up the matter with the government immediately failing which they would intensify their agitation.
