Shiradi Ghat opens for all vehicles

Deputy Commissioner R Girish has issued orders permitting the movement of heavy vehicles on Shiradi Ghat road on National Highway 75 from 6 am to 6 pm.

Based on the reports submitted by the officials of the National Highway Authority of India, the DC has issued the orders.

According to the order, bullet tankers, cargo containers, long chassis vehicles, multi-axle trailers and goods vehicles above 20 tonnes are allowed to ply on the route.

The district administration had earlier given permission for the movement of vehicles with only 20-tonne capacity, due to a landslide near Donigal village.
