Showers bring temperatures down in Mysore

The temperatures in Mysore region dipped a notch, following showers on Monday.
The maximum rainfall in the region was recorded in parts of Nagamangala taluk in Mandya district, which received 122 mm of scattered rainfall.

Parts of Mandya taluk recorded 54 mm of rainfall.

In other parts of Mandya district, Maddur and K R Pet taluk received 15 mm and 16 mm of rain.

Mysore city received substantial rains for only the second time this monsoon season. On Monday, parts of the city recorded up to 89 mm of rainfall.

Mysore district, parts of Nanjangud taluk recorded 41mm of isolated rainfall.

Rainfall was relatively less in other parts of the district, with parts of Hunsur recording 9 mm, H D Kote taluk 6 mm and Yelwal in Mysore taluk receiving 12 mm of rainfall.

In Chamarajanagar district, parts of Yelandur taluk recorded 87 mm of isolated rainfall during the day. Parts of Gundlupet taluk recorded 30.5 mm, Chamarajanagar taluk 20 mm and Kollegal taluk 17 mm of rainfall.

Rainfall was comparatively less during the day in Hassan. Parts of Arsikere taluk received 31 mm of rainfall and Channarayapatna taluk 17 mm of isolated rainfall.

In Kodagu district, rainfall was fairly widespread in Madikeri taluk at 18.5 mm. Parts of Virajpet taluk recorded 36 mm of rainfall.
