Parts of Gadag district received heavy rain for more than an hour on Monday. The showers brought respite from the sweltering heat.
The rain, which began around 7 pm, picked pace after 30 minutes. After the initial drizzle, parts of Dambala hobli in Gadag taluk received heavy rain. The sudden showers caught people unaware. Ballari received rain for a short spell.
