Demanding a detailed study into the alleged pollution caused by the Udupi Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL), Congress MLC Pratapchandra Shetty on Wednesday urged the state government to shut the facility down pending an investigation.
Raising the issue in the Zero Hour in the Legislative Council, Shetty said people in at least 15 villages in the vicinity, were affected by the pollution caused by the UPCL.
