Siddaganga seer admitted to hospital for routine checks

Dr Shivakumara Swamiji (111), chief pontiff of Siddaganga Mutt, was admitted to B G S Gleneagles Global Hospitals at Kengeri around 8.42 am on Thursday.

He was brought to the hospital for a regular check-up according to the hospital's official media release.

Previously, Swamiji had undergone non-surgical endoscopic stenting with the placement of eight stents in the bile duct till date.

The plan is to initiate a routine check-up and blood examination. The team of doctors headed by Dr Ravindra B S (Chief of Medical Gastroenterology), along with Swamiji’s personal doctors, are currently attending to him.

Further course of treatment will be decided based on the results of these investigations.
