In response to rumours that she might decide against contesting, she took to the Facebook and clarified that she would contest from Mandya. The actor also requested people not to buy any rumours in this regard.

On Tuesday, she participated in hunger stir by like-minded people of Mandya near Visvesvaraya statue demanding tickets only to local leaders.

MLA Anitha Kumaraswamy, wife of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and mother of Mandya probable JD(S) candidate Nikhil, hasn’t lagged behind in the temple run. She is busy visiting temples, seeking divine blessing.

She has already performed special puja in Nikhil’s name at Hole Anjaneyaswami temple in Maddur. She has been visiting the temple every Tuesday and has already visited thrice.
