Techie kills wife, daughter, attempts to commit suicide

A techie murdered his wife and daughter and attempted to kill himself by slitting his throat in Mysuru.

The victims are Savitha (39) and Sinchana (11).

Prajwal, the techie, survived the suicide bid, and is being treated at a hospital.

He committed the twin murders two days ago. However, the incident came to light only on Thursday night, said the police.

Reason for the incident is yet to be ascertained.

According to the police, Prajwal hails from Nanjangud, while Savitha was a resident of K R Pet.

The couple was working as software engineers in Bengaluru. They had quit their jobs a year ago and had relocated to Mysuru. They resided at 4th stage, Vijayanagar, added the police.

For the last few months, he was planning to venture into business.

Prajwal called up his family members on Thursday night and informed them that he had murdered his wife and daughter.

After disconnecting the call, he slit his throat.
