JOIN USA 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 43-year-old man in Belur village in Dharwad taluk.
According to a complaint registered at the Garag police station by the officials of the Women and Child Development Department, the girl residing with her mother and two younger sisters in a small house in Belur, was allegedly raped by Hanumantappa, also a resident of the same village.
The family, originally from Bihar, had settled in Belur a few years ago after the victim’s father died. Hanumanthappa, a married man with two children, frequented the victim’s home and lured her with gifts. Her mother discovered the alleged rape after her daughter became pregnant. The girl claimed that Hanumanthappa had raped her six times over the last several months.
Police are looking for Hanumanthappa.
