Terror suspects produced in Belagavi court

Ejaz Ahmed Bihari, who is suspected to have links with terror groups and was arrested by the police in Kalaburagi, was produced before the local court here on Monday, which remanded him in police custody for seven days. 

Mohammed Hussainali Qureshi, a resident of Kalaburagi, was caught red-handed while taking videos and photographs venturing into prohibited zones of the Sambra airport in Belagavi. The city police subjected Qureshi to intensive interrogation and based on information given by him, picked up three persons including Bihari in Kalaburagi. 

Bihari was brought to the city on Sunday and was produced before the First Judicial Magistrate Court-III, which remanded him in police custody for seven days. Earlier in the day, the police produced Qureshi in the same court which remanded the latter to 14 days in judicial custody. Both the accused have been booked on charges of sedition under Section 24(A) of the Indian Penal Code. Ejaz runs the Urdu newspaper Salamati in Kalaburagi.
