Three pilgrims from Channapatna stranded in Nepal

Three pilgrims of Channapatna taluk in Ramanagaram district who were on their way to Manasa Sarovar, are stranded in Simikot in Nepal, owing to foul weather in the Himalayan range.

The three pilgrims are JD(S) leader Shivaramu, Rangaswamy and retired Indian Railway police officer Mallesh. It is also learnt that their companion, Bevur Ramakrishna had to cut short his journey and returned to the state after he fell sick a day earlier.

The families of the three pilgrims addressed the media on Tuesday and requested the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to dispatch an aircraft to rescue their stranded family members.
