Tipu Jayanti: Ban orders to be clamped in Srirangapatna

The Mandya district administration will clamp ban orders in Srirangapatna from 6 am on November 9 till 6 am of November 11 in the wake of Tipu Jayanti.

Speaking a meeting to review the preparations for the event, Superintendent of Police Shivaprakash Devaraj said that a large number of people were expected to converge at Srirangapatna for the Jayanti and hence prohibitory orders would be claimped to preempt any untoward incident. He said that procession, display of flags, sloganeering have been strictly banned.
