Karnataka logged 847 new Covid-19 cases and 20 deaths on Wednesday as the case tally went up to 29,70,208 and the toll to 37,668.
With 946 discharges, the total number of recoveries swelled to 29,18,890.
The total number of active cases in the state, as on Sept 22, is 13,621.
The positivity rate for the day stood at 0.57% while, the case fatality rate was 2.36%.
Coming behind Bengaluru Urban in number of deaths was Dakshina Kannada (5) and Udupi (2), followed by others.
Bengaluru Urban reported 312 fresh infections and six fatalities. Dakshina Kannada saw 108 new cases and 5 deaths. Mysuru district witnessed 74 new infections followed by Shivamogga 52, Udupi 48 and Hassan 46 cases. A total of 4,66,33,670 samples had been tested in the state, which includes Wednesday’s 1,46,772.
The state crossed 10 lakh vaccinations in Lasika Mela on Wednesday.
The Wednesday’s count of 10,06,767 doses took the total to 5,36,80,401.
