A 52-year-old man from Gadag, who was undergoing treatment at GIMS for suspected Nipah, has tested negative for the infection.
GIMS director P S Boosareddy told DH on Saturday that the swab samples of the patient were sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune, for tests on May 24. According to the report received late on Friday night, the patient has not contracted Nipah infection.
