Various parts of Kodagu district received heavy rainfall on Wednesday, thus bringing the smile on the face of farmers.
Palibetta, Nelyahudikeri, Ammatti, Suntikoppa, Napoklu and Cherambane received good rainfall.
Coffee plants and pepper vines were drying up due to the scorching sun for the last several days. The growers were worried as the lakes had dried up.
About 27 mm rain has been recorded in Virajpet while Somwarpet received 26 mm rain.
