I-T raids carried out to unleash fear: Kharge

Congress leader in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said the sleuths of Income Tax Department carried out raids on the houses of the opposition leaders only to create fear.

He told reporters that the NDA government, led by Narendra Modi, is hatching strategy to win the election by unleashing fear among leaders to ensure that they will stay away from the election process, Kharge charged.

He said that Modi is creating a contaminated atmosphere through mental stress by threatening several leaders. “Did they not have time to carry out raids before the announcement of the Lok Sabha polls? Using such tactic for political gains is unfair,” he remarked.

The people will not change their stand even if the BJP continued to use any kind of tactics to threaten the leaders. The voters will vote for the candidates of their choice.

“I have told Modi in the Parliament that you have played politics by misusing the CBI. The NDA government should stop threatening attitude,” he said.
