Anant Shivaram Hegde, father of BJP MLA from Sirsi Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, died following age-related issues at Rotary Hospital here in the early hours of Saturday.
He was aged 83. Anant Hegde has left behind his wife Sarveshwari Hegde, five sons and two daughters.
Anant Hegde was actively involved with RSS for long time. Hegde, along with Dinakar Desai, played a vital role in establishing Janata Vidyalaya at Baroor near Kageri. He had served as the president of Kulave Co-operative Society.
