No time for CET toppers to celebrate their feat

Most of the candidates who have secured top ranks in CET 2019 have no time to celebrate the joy, as they are busy preparing for few more competitive exams scheduled to he held for the next few weeks and aiming at IITs and other All India institutes.

When DH contacted CET 2019 toppers, a majority of them refused to speak saying that they were busy preparing for JEE Advanced, some are preparing for All India Institute of Medical Sciences,(AIIMS), Delhi.

Some of the candidates are awaiting results of National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET). A few of them want to pursue pure sciences at prestigious institutions like Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) as well.

Among the medical aspirants, who have topped in BSc agriculture stream, many are awaiting the NEET results and some are aiming to get into the AIIMS. P Mahesh Anand of Shri Chaitanya Techno PU College, Marathahalli, who topped the state in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS), BVSc (Veternary Science), and secured fifth rank in pharmacy, wants to pursue his bachelors in medicine from the prestigious AIIMS, Delhi.

“I am working hard to get into AIIMS, which has always been my dream. I am waiting for my NEET results.”

Among the toppers, all the engineering aspirants have already cleared JEE Mains and are preparing for JEE Advanced. All are aiming to get into the IITs. R Chinmay of Expert PU College, Mangaluru, who secured second rank in engineering and third in pharmacy, said he was preparing for JEE Advanced and he wants to pursue engineering in computer science. “CET is my second preference,” he said.
