Vastu worry: HDK not to opt for official bungalow

Keen on remaining in power for five-year term, Chief Minister designate H D Kumaraswamy has decided not to opt for an official bungalow after he takes over office.

The JD(S) leader has decided to stay at his residence in JP Nagar. He will however be using 'Krishna' as his home office. According to sources, Kumaraswamy took this decision, after consulting two Vastu experts, who individually inspected four official bungalows, including 'Anugraha' and 'Cauvery'.

The experts are learnt to have told Kumaraswamy that he will not complete his term as chief minister, if he moves into any of these houses. Instead, they recommended that he stick with his JP Nagar residence, which was renovated as per Vastu. After two long years of renovation, he had moved back into the house in August 2017.

Incidentally, Kumaraswamy was staying in Anugraha when he lost power as chief minister in 2007. He has however claimed that he was not superstitious. He said that he wants to “cut down” on government expenditure by staying in his JP Nagar house. Kumaraswamy will be holding ‘Janata Darshans’ at both his private residence and Krishna.
