JOIN USA mega convention of the Veerashaiva community – Veerashaiva Mahasammelana – will be held on December 28 at Kottayam in Kerala, according to Kashi Jnana Peetha’s Jagadguru Chandrashekar Shivacharya.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event, where a book titled ‘Shrisiddhanth Shikamani’ and written in Malayalam will be released, he told reporters here on Tuesday.
Writers, thinkers and other dignitaries from Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Maharasthra, besides over a lakh devotees from across the country, will participate in the meet, Shivacharya said. Akhila Bharat Veerashaiva Mahasabha president Shyamanur Shivashankarappa and former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa will be guests.
Veerashaivas are spread across Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat and Jammu Kashmir. To create awareness among these people and enhance the network, Kashi Peetha will hold a Dharma Prachara programme from January 2015.
