BJP fourth list: Yeddyurappa's son Vijayendra excluded

BJP on Monday released its fourth list of seven candidates for the upcoming May 12 Karnataka Assembly polls.

BY Vijayendra, second son of BJP chief ministerial candidate BS Yeddyurappa, has failed to get the ticket from Varuna constituency in Mysuru. He was seen as a likely candidate to contest against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son Dr Yathindra who is contesting on a Congress ticket.

With the announcement, the BJP has declared its nominees for 220 seats for the polls to the 224-member Karnataka Assembly.

The saffron party is making an all-out bid to oust the Congress government from the state.

The counting of the votes will be done on May 15.
