Yogi cuts short campaign, returns to UP

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth on Friday cut short his election tour in Karnataka and rushed to his home state to review relief works in dust storm affected areas, where 75 people died on Thursday.

Adityanath who has been addressing election rallies in the state since Thursday was supposed to continue his canvassing in Honnali, Haliyal, Muddebihal, Mudhol and Terdal on Friday. But, he decided to leave for Uttar Pradesh, party sources said. He was supposed to address election rallies in Dharwad on Saturday. Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister addrssed meeting to campaign for the BJP candidates from Davangere North and South constituincies.

On Thursday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah hit out at Adityanath and tweeted: “I am sorry your (Uttar Pradesh) CM is needed here in Karnataka. I am sure he will return soon & attend to his work there.”
