JOIN USCases have been filed against two miscreants for assaulting Somwarpet taluk panchayat Vice President and advocate Abhimanyu Kumar, on Sunday night.
The incident took place near the Taj Hotel in the town.
When the car belonging to Abhimanyu, was being taken out from the parking space near the hotel by his driver, the car collided with a motorbike parked nearby.
When the enraged bike owner tried to assault the car driver, the lawyer tried to stop them. Then, two other persons by name Tajuddin and Muhammed Rizwan assaulted Abhimanyu.
According to a complaint submitted by Abhimanyu at Kushalnagar Town Police station, cases have been filed against Tajuddin and Rizwan.
Condemning the incident, Kushalnagar bar association members boycotted the court proceedings on Monday and conducted a protest.
