Technology companies Google, Acer, Portronics, Thomson and more launched smart wearable, Android tablet, smart TVs, accessories and more this week (May 03-10, 2026).

.Qualcomm unveils 5th Gen Snapdragon 6, 4 series chipsets for mobiles in India. Earlier this week, the search engine giant launched the new Fitbit Air, a screenless fitness tracker in the US.

It is the smallest Fitbit wearable to date, but it comes loaded with a lot of advanced health and fitness tracking capabilities.

It boasts of high-fidelity sensor technology in a tiny, discreet pebble that enables advanced 24/7 monitoring of heart rate, heart rhythm with Afib alerts, SpO2 (blood-oxygen saturation), resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep stages and duration, and more.

Users can explore deep insights from the Google Health app on the companion phone. With a full charge, it can last up to one week.

The company is offering customisable bands, including the Performance Loop Band. It is made from recycled materials. The band is micro-adjustable for a flexible, breathable fit.

. There is Active Band, which comes in a sweatproof, wetproof silicone material and has a subtle ribbed design that adds a sporty look. It is perfect for high-intensity training and can withstand the elements. flair in vibrant hues to match your athletic look.

Google also has a premium 'Elevated Modern Band'. It is a distinctly stylish band, which turns the Fitbit Air into a fashionable bracelet with classic colours.

There is also the Fitbit Air Special Edition Performance Loop band, co-designed by NBA legend Stephen Curry. It comes in elegant rye brown and a pop of game-day orange.

Fitbit Air is compatible with Android and iOS and available for pre-order in regions including the US for $99.99. The Special Edition costs $129.99.

.OnePlus Nord CE 6, 6 Lite with dual cameras launched in India. The new tablet comes in a slim form factor with a metal enclosure. It features an 11.45-inch IPS display with 1440 × 2200p resolution and offers up to 450 nits of brightness.

It features quad speakers, a microphone, support dual-band Wi-Fi 6.0, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a Type-C USB port, and an optional SIM slot (5G/4G LTE).

Inside, it houses a MediaTek MT8791 octa-core processor, paired with a dedicated APU with up to 2.6 TOPS, runs Android 15. It also features 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB UFS 3.1 storage (expandable up to 1TB), a dual-camera module-- 16MP + 2MP macro-- with LED flash on the back, an 8MP front camera and a 7,400mAh battery with a 10W charger.

The tablet is available in two colours-- Blue, Silver-- for Rs 25,499 in India.

.Vivo unveils premium camera-centric X300 Ultra, X300 FE series phones. The new Ocellus is Sony's first advanced camera tracking system designed to simplify and enhance augmented reality (AR) and virtual production workflows.

It is said to be tailor-built for creators across broadcast, cinema, and live production environments. It promises to deliver marker-free camera tracking through multiple sensors, making it a perfect choice for Virtual productions, such as In-Camera VFX and AR, which sends the camera position and orientation data while the camera is shooting.

The system also comprises a sensor unit, a processing box, and three lens encoders, and can be used with Sony Cinema Line cameras, system cameras, and non-Sony cameras.

Additionally, it also comes with five image sensors and Sony’s Visual SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) technology, which helps the system to create a reference map, enabling stable marker-free tracking both indoors and outdoors.

When used with Sony cameras, metadata such as focus, iris, and zoom values can be extracted via the camera’s SDI output and transmitted in real time to external devices through an Ethernet connection. In cases where the lens does not support in-camera metadata capture, lens encoders can be attached to gather this information. This data can then be leveraged for virtual production and augmented reality applications. Additionally, the system supports recording of tracking data, camera and lens metadata, timecode, and file names, enabling a smoother post-production workflow. Sony Ocellus 'ASR-CT1' series costs Rs 32,37,990.

.Motorola confirms to launch Razr Fold series in India soon. They come in multiple looks-- Shiny Steel, Onyx Black, Radiant Inox, Radiant Onyx, Wine Glory, Royal Glory, Scarlet Lotus and Emerald Lotus.

The top‑load washing machines come in 8kg -10kg capacities, designed to perform reliably under challenging operating conditions. It comes with a Low Pressure Fill feature, which enables effective washing even with a limited water supply, while Intelligent Auto Restart ensures uninterrupted operation during power fluctuations.

The Ultra Scrub Wall enhances stain removal through increased fabric friction during washing. The machines boast of toughened glass lids with soft‑close functionality, improving safety and ease of use. The AX semi‑automatic range includes 15 variants with prices starting at Rs 17,600.

Further, the smart TV supports Google Assistant for hands-free search with voice commands.
