MWC 2026: Qualcomm announces advanced Snapdragon Wear Elite silicon for AI smart wearables

American semiconductor major Qualcomm launched the next-generation Snapdragon Wear Elite silicon at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona.

The latest Snapdragon Wear Elite is touted as the most advanced chipset capable of handling Artificial Intelligence-powered features on smart wearables such as watches, AI smart glasses, AI Pins, or AI pendants, and more.

-- Like the Elite series we see in the mobile chipset, the 3nm class Wear Elite promises faster, power efficiency on smart wearables. It can clock up to 2.1Ghz CPU speed, and the co-processor, which gets enabled during less complex work, can support 500MHz speed.

-- It comes integrated with Adreno A622 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) and a dedicated hexagon NPU (Neural Processing Unit). It offers 5X improvements in CPU performance, 7X improvements in GPU performance and 30 per cent longer battery life compared to the previous iteration.
