Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 SE with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 launched in India; check price, features

The Redmi Note 15 SE is guaranteed to get four years of Android updates and six years of security updates for protection against cyber threats up to 2032.

Xiaomi on Thursday (April 2) launched the much-awaited Redmi Note 15 SE series in India.

The new Android phone sports a 6.77-inch (2392×1080 pixels) FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, supporting up to 3200 nits peak brightness.

It also features an IP65+IP66 water-and-dust resistant rating, MIL-STD-810H military durability certification, an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, hybrid dual SIM slots (nano SIM-1+ nano SIM-2 or microSD card), an infrared sensor and a type-C USB port.

Inside, it houses a 4nm class Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 octa-core with Adreno 710 GPU. It can clock CPU speed up to 2.4GHz, which is enough to handle any heavy-duty tasks such as running generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI) apps such as Gemini, playing graphics-rich gaming titles and more.

The device also comes with Android 15-based Xiaomi HyperOS 2, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.2 (expandable up to 1TB) and a 5,800mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging.

The device is guaranteed to get four years of Android updates and six years of security updates for protection against cyber threats up to 2032.

It boasts a dual-camera module-- a main 50MP (with a 1/2.88-inch Light Fusion 400 sensor, f/1.8 aperture) with a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor with an LED flash on the back. It can record up to 4K video at 30fps (frames per second).

On the front, it houses a 20MP (f/2.2) camera for selfies and video calling. It can record up to 1080p at 30fps.

The device also supports AI-powered tools, including AI Erase, AI Sky, AI Bokeh, AI Beautify, and AI Reflection Removal, allowing users to edit photos faster than before.

The device comes in three colours--Crimson Reserve, Carbon Black, and Frosted White, the REDMI Note 15 Special Edition. It is available in three variants-- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage-- for Rs 24,999, Rs 25,999 and Rs 27,999, respectively. For a limited time, they will be available with discounts and extra cashbacks (via EMI offers) for as low as Rs 17,999, Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999, respectively.
