Tourist vehicles banned on mountain route

The movement of tourist vehicles has been ban on the route leading to Mulayyanagiri, Bababudangiri hills in view of landslide.

The ban has come into force from Wednesday. Police officials said barricades have been put up at a checkpost near Kaimara to stop the tourist vehicles.

They said the soil is damp in the hilly areas following heavy rain in the region. It may lead to landslide any time. Hence, the movement of tourist vehicles is banned on the moutain route, they added.
