    3 Jharkhand Jaguar jawans dead in IED blast by Naxals

    2021-03-04 At least three jawans of Jharkhand Jaguar unit have lost their lives in an IED blast planted by Naxals in Chaibasa’s Jharjhara area. A search operation is underway. “3 jawans of the Jharkhand Jaguar unit have lost their lives, 2 injured in IED blast planted by naxals. A joint team of CRPF and Jharkhand Jaguar are conducting a search operation,” said Jharkhand DGP Niraj Sinha.

    Bomb scare: Taj Mahal reopens for tourists

    2021-03-04 Assuring the people not to panic over the threat call received claiming that there is a bomb placed in Taj Mahal,, IG Range Agra A Satish Ganesh said that there is a 99% chance of it being a hoax call.  He further informed that Bomb Disposal Squad and other teams have carried out an extensive search at Taj Mahal premises and no such object has been found. Monument has been reopened for the tourists.

    Farm laws: Amritsar farmers modify their tractors for protest site ahead of summer

    2021-03-04 As the farmers’ protest against the three agriculture laws is not ending anytime soon, farmers in Amritsar have prepared their tractor trollies for survival in the summer season at the protest site. These advanced tractor trollies have fans, mosquito repellents, water filters and nets, to keep mosquitoes away. Farmers took 16-17 hours to prepare fully equipped trollies. One of the farmers said that they are fully prepared to sit at the protest site for as long as possible till the farm laws are not repealed.

    2021-03-04 Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took his first jab of Covid-19 vaccine at LNJP Hospital on March 04. His parents also received their first dose. The second phase of vaccination against coronavirus began on March 1, which covers people above the age of 60 years and those above the age of 45 years with comorbidities.

    2021-03-04 A bomb scare at the Taj Mahal created unrest among tourists and authorities. Soon after the threat call, tourists were evacuated and both entry, exit gates were closed. Informing about the threat call, Agra SP (Protocol) Shiv Ram Yadav said, “We had received information from control room that a man called them up saying that there are discrepancies in military recruitment and he wasn't recruited. A Bomb is kept at Taj Mahal which will explode soon. Security check is being done around Taj Mahal. CISF has been alerted. The man's location was traced to Firozabad. Further investigation underway.”

    2021-03-04 Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha took the first jab of Covid-19 vaccine at Government Medical College and Hospital in Jammu on March 4. The second phase of vaccination against coronavirus began on March 01, which covers people above the age of 60 years and those above the age of 45 years with comorbidities.

    2021-03-04 Several people were injured after a clash broke out between two groups in Jind on March 03. 2 groups clashed over an earlier dispute at a program in Siwaha village. Injured were taken to the nearest hospital for proper treatment. Allegedly firing also took place during the verbal spat. Jind DSP Pushpa Khatri said, “This is a case of rivalry between two groups in the village. 4 people from one group and 3 from the other, injured. A panchayat was held earlier in the matter. There are allegations (over firing), the probe is on.”

    2021-03-04 BJP West Bengal president Dilip Ghosh while speaking to ANI claimed that BJP will not get less than 200 seats in the upcoming state assembly elections. He further said that we are going ahead with the mantra - '19 mein half, 21 mein saaf.' “We didn't begin preparations today, we had started 5 years back. We have proceeded phase-wise, we all saw results in the Lok Sabha elections. We are going ahead with mantra of '19 mein half, 21 mein saaf,’ he added. When asked about not going with a chief minister face, Dilip Ghosh said that we have won several states without a CM face, we will win this also.

    2021-03-04 India at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) reiterated that it will continue with the Government of South Sudan in its quest for peace, progress and prosperity in the region. Speaking at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of India's Mission to UN, Nagaraj Naidu said, "Funding gap of billion-dollar deserves immediate attention. We have taken positive note of activities of UNMISS in implementing its mandate. Mission should continue supporting South Sudan police forces in ensuring safety and security of camps."
