About:

On August 16, as rain pounded the village of Kuthiathode, the upper portion of a church building which was converted to a flood relief camp for hundreds collapsed. Seven men were trapped under, six of them died. The news from the village, isolated by the flash floods, broke late for the authorities. The rescue teams could not reach the location due to strong currents. All the bodies were taken out after four days.
