Revaccination against coronavirus begins in Moscow

People in Moscow are offered to get a 2-phase Sputnik-V vaccine or its first component “Sputnik Light”. It is being used as a stand-alone vaccine to refresh the body defence 6 months after the first vaccination.

Doctors have advised people with severe allergies, liver & kidney diseases & malignant tumors to use the vaccine with caution. In other cases, according to experts, the vaccines are safe & effective. Alexey Ivanov got vaccinated six months ago.

He recalls that back then the procedure went without complications. And the immune system response was not long in coming. According to the clinical research results the effectiveness of the "Sputnik-V" vaccine was above 90 percent.

Therefore, a person can re-vaccinate after a year. However, until the population develops collective immunity at least up to 60% medics recommend to re-protect after 6 months.
