Former External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj was awarded the Padma Vibhushan posthumously on November 8 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Her daughter Bansuri Swaraj received the award by President Ram Nath Kovind. The Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian honours of India announced annually on the eve of Republic Day.
