Ashwini Kumar Choubey took charge as Minister of State (MoS) in the Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ministry on July 12. He offered prayers at the office before taking charge.
On July 7, Choubey took oath as the MoS. Choubey planted a sapling at the Ministry premises as well.
